Our local currency is in Naira, with notes issued in 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, and 1,000 Naira denomiations. Visitors may bring unlimited amount of foreign currency, provided a declaration of such currency is made to customs at the port of entry. Foreign currency may be changed only at authorized banks and bureau de change.
